Icaro
(Song) for Jungle Flowers
The
intricate weavings created for centuries by the Shipibo are
an ornate representation of the anaconda’s skin who
they believe sung the universe into being. These weavings
are also the actual written music for their healing songs.
A
Spark in The Dark
Stories
of creation have been told by people everywhere, throughout
time. The details of each story are different, reflecting
the people who tell it. They tell us about ourselves - our
place in the universe, our relationship with others and our
inner experience. They show us that inside we are not so different
after all.
Song
for Pachamama (Mother Earth)
The
first peoples of the Andes, the Quechua, work to conserve their
traditional music, dance, and ritual. This promotes awareness
of their cultural heritage and demonstrates pride in their traditional
practices.
